This is a wonderful book that is very near and dear to me from my childhood. Until I came across the main character, Jenny Sawyer, in the story, I thought I was the only one who struggled with a learning disability in Math and had to trudge down the hall to the resource room when my classmates got out their textbooks to study the subject. Not only does Barthe DeClements have a knack for creating heartfelt stories, but she also writes about relatable and memorable characters who each have their own unique voice.

I’m really enjoying this. It makes me smile every time I use it in the shower. I get a fresh, green, and leafy smell from the lily, as well as a florally sweetness that gives me soothing, nostalgic vibes of riding past bushes of this in the summer on my bike as a kid. The color of the body wash is a cheerful pear green color and the wraparound label on the bottle is an uplifting lime green shade.

This lilac-colored body wash is unlike anything I have ever smelled before. It smells nothing like the scent notes mentioned in it: wild roses, amber, bergamot, vanilla, and patchouli. I get a powdery floral note that is a combination of iris and Bath & Body Works’ vintage Cotton Blossom scent. If you’re looking for something that smells great, but is also different and unique, this is it. The only thing I didn’t like was the somewhat watery consistency of it, which caused me to go through it more quickly than I would’ve liked to.

This smells like a cross between Mario Badescu’s Azulene Body Soap and their Seaweed Bubble Bath & Shower Gel. I get the calming saltwater chamomile scent in this, as well as the fresh aquatic smell that is akin to seaweed. I don’t get the woodsy and floral notes that L’Occitane mentions are in this. Like a lot of the brand’s body washes, the formulation is somewhat thick and silky soft on the skin and it’s a wonderful unisex scent. I definitely recommend splurging on this when L’Occitane has one of their sales or offers free shipping for a limited time. They tend to do this on long weekends that fall on certain holidays. So be sure to keep your eye out for those.
