Elevate Your Body Care Routine with Nivea and Bath & Body Works

I first came across the scent of lotus flower in one of Harry Slatkin’s HomeWorx candles way back when I was a candle junkie. It’s an aquatic floral that will have a calming effect on you, especially if you apply this body lotion after your evening shower before bed. You don’t need to apply a lot. A little goes a long way. The carnitine, a substance that turns your body’s fat into energy, in this minimizes the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks. The only drawback is that it’s not cheap for the amount that is in this, which is not even seven ounces. However, it is a more economical way of dealing with unwanted body fat and/or sagging skin without having liposuction.

Oh, my. This is really good. It’s even better than the original version of it that launched in 2014. This was way back when you could buy the mini versions of some of the brand’s scents at the checkout area of the store and it was one of the scents I purchased. I get the fruitiness of the African pear and a creamy—almost almondy nuttiness—from the wild Madagascar vanilla accord in it with a tinge of a woody smell that reminds me of mahogany. It's much more pleasant than the acrid vanilla note in the older version of this scent.

I get the fresh neroli and sparkling water notes that the brand lists are in this. Basically, it smells like you’re at brunch with a man who is wearing Davidoff’s Cool Water Eau de Toilette Cologne while he drinks a mimosa. It’s definitely something new and different from Bath & Body Works. I don’t get any of the clean musk that they mention is in this.

I get the tanginess from the lush raspberries in this. It actually makes me think of Starbucks’ Summer-Berry Refreshers beverage. You know, the one that costs like $10. I get none of the other scent notes that Bath & Body Works mentions are here: juicy pear nectar, white jasmine, and whipped vanilla. The original version that launched in 2011 smelled a lot better and I remember it having the whipped vanilla note that made it smell more like a raspberry milkshake or gelato and it didn’t have the annoyingly and overly sweet berry scent that is present in this version. This is a good scent, but the original was excellent. The color of the shower gel is hot pink.
